You can call the southerners disgusting, illiterate, THE CAUSE OF GLOBAL WARMING (not global warming causing, because obviously you’re illiterate), inbred, racist or anything else that comes to your mind. But the one thing southern folks are is strong. We stand our ground, we fight for what we love. Most of our SO’s are overseas fighting for your freedom. The farmers here grow and raise the food you eat. If we didn’t have farmers, we’d starve. Country music may not be true to you, but it is to us. Country singers know how to take real, every day events and put them to music. Country artists don’t talk about “getting paper, bitches or weed”, they talk about true love, heartbreak and God. It hits you in the gut and pulls on your heart strings. You don’t find that in any other genre. Maybe what you’re hearing is the country you hear most now-a-days. You hear pop country, upbeat or party country. What’s best is hearing the older songs. From Hank Sr. to Tim McGraw. Country music singers don’t need auto-tune or pre-made musical tracks. Country music singers play their own instruments. They write from the heart and soul, not the money, sex and drugs they want. You shouldn’t even begin to insult us. We do manual labor, we’re not telemarketers.
